Making Camp Affordable:
We are committed to ensuring that every child can partake in the Ramah Day Camp experience regardless of financial need. We are happy to offer flexible payment options and scholarships. In 2026, approximately 25% of our campers received financial aid. Details about applying for financial aid are below.
As a nonprofit organization, we keep the cost of camp as low as possible so more families can attend. We do not make a profit on your child’s tuition, and we allocate all funds towards enhancing their camp experience!
2027 INFORMATION:
The Kayitz (summer) 2027 season will open on Monday, June 21 and close on Friday, August 6, 2027.
In 2027, the Classic Ramah Day Camp program will run for three two-week sessions and a final one-week session. (Session dates appear in the table below.) Families may register their child(ren) for a single session or any combination of sessions. Of course, we love when families take advantage of our full summer discount and enroll their child(ren) for all 7 weeks! This program is open to current Pre-K (PK4) through 4th grade students.
Our Sha’ar Hebrew Enrichment Program is a seven-week program for campers currently in Pre-K (PK4) and Kindergarten since consistency is the foundation of an immersive experience. For campers currently in 1st grade, we are offering a 4-week and 7-week Sha’ar program option. More information about the Sha’ar Hebrew enrichment program can be found here.
The BIG IDEA at Ramah Day Camp, our technology-based program track, will be offered once again and is available to all ages this summer! More information on the BIG IDEA program can be found here. Please note that BIG IDEA does not include daily swim. Three 2-week sessions and a final one-week session are available to different age ranges. Campers may attend one or more BIG IDEA sessions (where age-applicable):
- Session A (June 21-July 2) is open to current Kindergarten – 6th graders,
- Session B (July 6-16) and Session C (July 19-30) is open to current 2nd-6th graders.
- The Final Week (August 2-6) is open to current Pre-K (PK4) – 1st graders.
We will again offer an early bird discount to those who register their child(ren) by Monday, December 14. Please contact us if you have any questions about your summer plans.

^ – The early bird discount is automatically applied for all campers who applied by Monday, December 14, 2026.
Beginning in 2027, due to our new Rockville location, tuition and bus transportation have been divided into two separate charges. Tuition has been reduced and busing will be an add-on for $75 per week. We will again offer bus transportation from centralized locations in the area, dependent on sufficient enrollment. Financial Aid
Financial aid is available, and we do all that we can to make it possible for everyone to experience a summer at Ramah. Applications for financial aid will be accessible in your CampMinder account (in the “Forms & Documents” portal) by mid-December and after your camper’s application has been processed by our office. The deadline for financial aid applications is Friday, February 12, 2027. If you have questions about the financial aid process, please contact Sharon Rosenberg Safra, Director.
Registration Deposit, Fees & Payment Plans
A deposit of $100 per week per camper is required with each application. (Please contact us if you need a reduced deposit charge.) In the application, you will be asked if you prefer to set up a payment plan or to pay in full.
Regardless of when you apply, camp families are required to pay 50% of their tuition fees by March 15. Full payment is due by May 14 (for families not on a payment plan).
Cancellation Policy
We know that plans change. We also need to plan in order to serve all of our campers. Unfortunately that means we have to have a cancellation policy. We must have notification in writing if you need to withdraw your child before the start of camp. Below is our schedule of tuition refunds and fees.
PLEASE NOTE: Families will now be charged a $50 administrative fee to withdraw completely prior to January 15th.
