Yom Nitzanim with Chef Paula Shoyer

Our oldest hanichim enjoyed their first Yom Nitzanim of the kayitz.  The day featured special guest, Chef Paula Shoyer.  Chef Paula is no stranger to camp, she is a regular cooking specialist at Camp Ramah New England.  Recognized as The Kosher Baker, Paula is the author of five cookbooks.  She is a French-trained pastry chef known for teaching kosher cooking and baking classes.

Nitzanim hanichim started their culinary journey with Chef Paula learning how to cook cheese borakas.

Once the borakas were in the oven, Chef Paula taught our hanichim how to use piping bags and decorate cupcakes.  One camper said, “this is the best day ever!”  They all enjoyed eating their creations!
